About Kailash & Mansarovar

Holy Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar are among the most revered pilgrimage sites in the world. Both destinations hold deep spiritual significance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and followers of the ancient Bon religion.

  • For Hindus, Kailash is the abode of Lord Shiva, where he resides with Goddess Parvati. Pilgrims believe that a glimpse (darshan) of Kailash brings liberation from ignorance and delusion. A single parikrama (circumambulation) of Kailash is said to cleanse a lifetime of sins, while 108 parikramas ensure salvation (moksha).

  • For Buddhists, it is considered the seat of Demchok (Samvara), a powerful tantric deity.

  • For Jains, it is the site where their first saint achieved emancipation.

  • For the Bon religion, Kailash is the nine-storey Swastika Mountain, where their holy founder descended from heaven.

The 53 km Kailash Kora (parikrama) is one of the holiest pilgrimages, with its most challenging section being the Dolma La Pass (5,630 m / 19,500 ft).

Day 1

Arrive to Kathmandu. Transfer to hotel. Evening overnight at  Kathmandu

Day 2

After breakfast Visit Pashupatinath, and Sleeping Vishnu,   back to hotel Trip  Breffing

Day 3

After breakfast Visit Doleswor Mahadeev & Chandragiri. After lunch preparation for yatra.

Day 4

After Breakfast, group will departure to Dunche / Syabrubesi. 1950m – 154km (Nepal-China Border) by private tourist coach. 6-7hrs drive .

Day 5

After Breakfast drive to Nepal China Border by coach and group will clear Nepal/ Chinese border formalities and drive continue to Kyirong (2800m) 35 Km / 2 hrs

Day 6

Acclimatization in Kyirong

Day 7

After Breakfast, Drive to Saga (4250m) 168km / 4-5 hrs. En-route, we are going to drive Via Pikutso beautiful lake and the view of Mt. Shishapangma which is 14th highest Mountain in the world, drive over Bharmaputra River and continue to Saga.

Day 8

Drive to Lake Manasarovar (4500m) Chiu 422km / 7-8 hrs. Today beautiful day drive to Chiu Manasarovar Lake crossing over Mayum La and Chhongo Lake one the way. On the south of Lake is Mt. Gurla Mandhata (7728m) on south and Holy Kailash on the north. Lake Manasarovar is considered the holiest of all of Tibet’s many lakes

Day 9

Hawan at Manasarovar (4500m) and drive to Darchen- 53 km.In the morning, the Sunny staff will set up private bathing tent on the shores of Lake Manasarovar for the traditional sacred bath most pilgrims perform before circumambulating the holy mountain. We then perform puja and hawan on the banks. After lunch, 30min drive to Darchen.

Day 10

Drive to Darboche or Yamadwar (9 km) trek to Diraphuk (4800m)- 12 km

Day 11

Trek over the Dolma la pass- 5650m to Zutulphuk Gompa (4790m) -22km. 8-9 hrs

 

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch &  Dinner

 

Day 12

Trek about 2 hrs to Zongdo , 5km and drive to Saga

 

Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch  &  Dinner

 

Day 13

Drive to Kyirong 268 km / 4-5 hrs. and continue drive to Timure; Nepal border

Day 14

Drive to Kathmandu 172 km / 7-8 hours. In Kathmandu, we will celebrate our successful trip and  distributions of Kailash yatra certificate  etc

Transfer to Airport for Departure flight.
